Team Redby Radio came together in May 2009 and since then the team has grown and grown. Our current team is made up of a number of children who were interviewed for roles in the following areas; controllers, schedulers, publicists, fundraisers and news directors.

25th of June 2009 - Well done to Josh, Liam, William and Georgia who made our first live broadcast! Lets hope the rest are just as successful.

27th of June 2009 - We were a real hit at the summer fayre! Not only did everyone have the chance to request a song, they were also able to hear the raffle being drawn live on air! Congratulations to all of the winners.

1st December 2009 - Josh and Elliot were lucky enough to interview Gary Bennett! The boys asked him about his career at Sunderland Football Club and about his role within 'Give Racism the Red Card'. Well done boys! Listen out for the broadcast and take a look at the picture below.

21st April - Our year 5 and 6 children impressed the Ofsted inspectors and were mentioned in the final report, well done!
"Older pupils are actively managing Redby Radio, interviewing visitors to keep the whole
school informed. This all prepares them extremely well for their next stage of learning".

I Think it is really good having a redby radio!!
Well done to those children who made the first live broadcast. Josh has had so much fun and thinks this is a great addition to the school. We will look forward to many more broadcasts.

redby radiio is a great way to communicate to others
Redby radio is great the music is fab exept when they play thriller over and over again i think its a really good idea! it is also a really good idea that they play the radio in the mornin when everyone is in the yard
Redby radio is realy good and will be sad to leave it when i leave to go to the comprehensive school.
