Home/School Links

At Redby we strive to ensure that parents are well informed about what is happening in school, whether it is to do with curriculum matters, social events, educational visits or current rates of dinner money.

We publish a newsletter, giving parents advance notice about any forthcoming events, including fundraising activities, and also giving information about more organisational issues such as school uniform or any changes to charging rates. The newsletter also contains any information from the PTA and the LEA which parents may need to know. In the entrance lobby there is a parents notice board and an electronic foyer display system which reminds parents of events currently taking place in school. We communicate any urgent messages and advertise any requests from staff for parental assistance on school trips, in the classroom etc. through our very popular text messaging service. It is important that parents keep their mobile contact details up to date with the school office in order to ensure that they get any important, or urgent, messages

The Head Teacher is always happy to talk to parents if they have any concerns. Wherever possible the school operates an open door policy. Teachers are available at the end of the day if parents need to speak to them urgently or they will make appointments to see parents as soon as possible. Parents may ring the school office and school administration staff will relay Reporting to Parents Home/School Links information to teaching staff when this is necessary.
